Symptoms and prevention of copper deficiency in peach trees

(1) Symptoms
a. The characteristic of copper deficiency is the emergence of new shoots. At the beginning of summer, the growth of the tip of the new shoot stopped, and the leaves showed mottled and chlorotic. The tip and edge of the tip of the new shoot are browned, and the new shoot looks like a wilting. Finally, many of the top leaves fall off and the new shoots die. Sometimes in the growing season of the year, but mostly in the growing season of the leap year, the lateral shoots under the dead part grow new shoots, but they also die. After many years of repeated death, the copper-deficient strain looks like clusters and grows short.
b. The bark-deficient copper bark is rough and corked, but the degree of occurrence is different, which is related to the variety.
c. The copper-deficient fruit has cracking or gelation, which can lead to depression.
d. Copper content in copper-deficient leaves is usually below 3 mg. In the newly opened land, the orchard, which often sprays Bordeaux liquid, usually does not suffer from copper deficiency.
(2) Correction method
a. Add organic fertilizer and improve soil quality to avoid copper deficiency.
b. Copper-deficient orchard, depending on the age of the tree, 0.5 to 2 kg of copper sulfate per plant, or 0.1% copper sulfate solution before spring germination.
