1, PE pipeline classification

3, PE80 and PE100 comparison
PE80 and PE100 are the basic resins for the production of pressure-bearing plastic pipes. In particular, PE100 is the only polyethylene grade in the high-pressure pipelines at home and abroad. It can be widely used in pressurized water pipes, gas pipes and various industrial pipes. PE100 has excellent melt flow, weather resistance and long-term stability. Its pressure-bearing pipeline produced as raw material can guarantee 50-year service life at 8.0MPa and 20°C.
The MRS of PE80 is 8 MPa; the MRS of PE100 is 10 MPa (MRS refers to the tensile stress intensity of the tube). The PE100 tubing is thinner at the same working pressure, and the density of the two materials is very close.
"Combustion of polyethylene for polyethylene (PE) piping system Part 1: Pipes" GB 15558.1-2003 stipulates: PE pipe series are divided into two series of SDR11 and SDR17.6 according to the standard size ratio (SDR).
For urban natural gas pipelines, when the pipeline design pressure is 0.4MPa (town gas pipeline medium pressure A grade), if the PE80 pipe is used, the SDR11 series must be used, and the PE100 pipe can use the SDR17.6 series.
Under the premise of ensuring the performance, the consumption of PE raw materials can be greatly reduced and the cost can be reduced. By using PE100 instead of PE80 material, the consumption of materials can be reduced by about 35%, and the material cost can be saved by about 20%.
