Urea-formaldehyde resin, also known as urea-formaldehyde resin, is a polymer obtained by the reaction between urea and formaldehyde, abbreviated as UF.It has a series of advantages, such as high bonding strength, fast curing, good operability, low production cost, abundant and easy-to-obtain raw materials, and so on. During processing and moulding, the urea-formaldehyde resin will cross-link, forming an insoluble and non-melting thermosetting resin. The cured urea-formaldehyde resin is lighter in colour, translucent, resistant to weak acids and alkalis, has good insulating properties, excellent abrasion resistance and is relatively inexpensive. However, it is easy to decompose when encountering strong acids and alkalis, and its weather resistance is also poor.
