Three-way regulating valve classification and structure

The three-way regulating valve is divided into confluence valve and diverter valve according to the mode of action of the fluid. The confluence valve has two inlets that merge and flow out of one outlet. The diverter valve has a fluid inlet that splits into two streams and exits the two outlets. The structure of the combined three-way regulating valve is similar to that of the three-way regulating valve . Its characteristics are as follows:

1. The three-way regulating valve has two valve plugs and valve seats, and the structure is similar to the two-seat valve. However, in the three-way regulating valve, when the flow area between one valve plug and the valve seat increases, the flow area between the other valve plug and the valve seat decreases. In a double-seat valve, the flow area between the two valve plugs and the valve seat increases or decreases at the same time.

2. The air opening and closing of the three-way regulating valve can only be achieved by selecting the positive action and reaction of the actuator. The air-opening and air-sealing changes of the double-seat valve can directly replace the valve body or the valve core with the valve seat.

3, three-way regulating valve for the need for fluid ratio control system, because it replaces an air-open control valve and an air-closing control valve, therefore, can reduce costs and reduce installation space.

4. The three-way regulating valve is also used in the place of bypass control. For example, one fluid passes through the heat exchanger and the other fluid does not perform heat exchange. When the three-way valve is installed in front of the heat exchanger, a three-way flow control valve is used; when the three-way flow control valve is installed behind the heat exchanger, a three-way flow control valve is used. Because the fluid flowing in the three-way valve installed in the heat exchanger has the same temperature, the leakage is small; the fluid flowing in the three-way valve installed behind the heat exchanger has different temperatures, and the valve core The degree of expansion is different from that of the seat, so the amount of leakage is large. In general, the temperature difference between the two fluids should not exceed 150°C.

Three-way regulating valve with cage structure, with balancing holes, using cage guidance. Therefore, the imbalance force can be greatly reduced. The early three-way control valve uses a cylindrical thin-walled window, with the side of the valve guide, although it can reduce the unbalanced force, but there is still a large imbalance force when a fluid closes (flow off flow direction). Moreover, with the change of the opening of the valve, the unbalanced force changes, and the cage structure with balanced holes can eliminate the unbalanced force and have a damping effect, which is favorable for the stable operation of the control valve.

Because of the large leakage of the three-way regulating valve , in the applications requiring small leakage, two control valves (and two-passages) can be used to divide the flow, or combine the flow, or to control the ratio of the fluid.
