The reporter once again came to the Qianjiang Small Commodity Market, which was listed as a major fire hazard unit by the fire department last year. After rectification, each booth is now equipped with fire extinguishers, smoke sensors and automatic fire sprinkler equipment. However, there are still individual merchants whose goods are placed beyond the storefront and piled under the fire shutter doors. In the event of a fire, the fire shutter door could not be fully lowered and it would not function as intended.

The reporter also visited several large-scale shopping malls and discovered that the large number of people and miscellaneous items are common features of these places. Once an accident such as a fire occurs, it is easy to cause confusion. Then, as the relevant departments strengthen safety supervision, as the general public, how can they strengthen their awareness of safety precautions and their capacity for scientific self-rescue?

The provincial fire brigade experts reminded them of accidents such as shopping malls and market sudden fires. There are four points to be remembered in order to escape:

The first is to keep track of exports. In general, large shopping malls and markets will draw escape route maps in conspicuous places. Everybody should visit the market and the market should pay attention in advance to see the recent safety exits and fire exits.

The second is to find the channel. After the fire broke out, you cannot escape by elevator or escalator. You should escape from the evacuation stairs. In the absence of other means of escape, lifeline, curtains, fire hoses, and other items can be used to help them slide down to the ground or lower floors.

The third is not to be crowded. In the event of an accidental escape, try not to push me to squeeze it. You should pass it quickly and in an orderly manner. Otherwise, stamping may occur and the outlet may be blocked.

The fourth is anti-smoking and anti-virus. You can use the clothes, towels, blankets, tissues and other items in the mall to soak your nose and mouth.
