In reducing media (such as hydrochloric acid, sulfurous acid, boiling glacial acetic acid) is not corrosion-resistant. Corrosion occurs in the passivation conditions, 18-8 austenitic stainless steel is not corrosion-resistant, then the high silicon content should be selected austenitic stainless steel, such as: 00Cr14Ni14Si4,00Cr18Ni14Si4,00Cr18Ni20Si6 and 0Cr20Ni24Si4Ti and so on. In nitric acid, molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steels are not corrosion-resistant, especially in boiling nitric acid, so molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steels are usually not used in nitric acid. Mo-containing stainless steels have better corrosion resistance among organic acids and certain reducing acids. Austenitic stainless steels containing molybdenum, copper and silicon have better corrosion resistance in sulfuric acid media such as ZG1 Cr24Ni20M02Cu3 and CN -7M (AC1 grade) Austenitic stainless steel is widely used in sulfuric acid pump. Some corrosion resistant alloys with mass fraction of more than 50%, such as 2RK65, K alloy and carpenter20 are also austenite matrix used in high temperature and high Concentration of sulfuric acid pump, the effect is very good.
