The key point of industrial upgrading is to force stone enterprises to take the initiative to accelerate the transformation and adhere to the ecological bottom line.

Following this transformation and upgrading idea, at present, in Suichang, the stone industry has bid farewell to the end of the old road of post-production management, achieving the front-end control of the first environmental protection production, and then supporting the downstream industrial chain.

Not long ago, after field research, a person in charge of the Zhejiang Stone Industry Association was greatly surprised that this production method undoubtedly provided a model for how the stone industry regulates production and scientific mining.

As a supporting project for the industrial chain of the circular demonstration park, “Yufeng Building Materials” uses the processed sediment sand in the park as aerated concrete to recycle solid waste. This waste-utilizing enterprise, which is built next to “Pingchang Stone”, uses a special conveyor belt to transport the concentrated desmeared sediment directly to the production line to produce lightweight bricks of different specifications.

Zhu Yangao, head of the company, said the move not only reduced transportation costs, but also ensured a clean environment. This set of investment in more than 30 million yuan of automated production equipment, with an annual output of aerated concrete blocks of 300,000 cubic meters, output value of 100 million yuan, consumption of processed scraps 150,000 cubic meters, basically digested the waste in the processing park. Driven by the demonstration of benchmarking enterprises, since 2014, other enterprises in the park have added nearly 20 million yuan in environmental protection.
