**Heat Treatment Specifications:**

**Delivery Condition:**
The material can be delivered in normalized, annealed, or high-temperature tempered condition, or without heat treatment. The delivery state should be clearly stated in the contract.
**Key Characteristics:**
20CrMnSi exhibits high strength and toughness, with good rigidity during cold deformation. It has excellent formability for punching and is suitable for cold drawing and rolling processes. It also offers good weldability, low hardenability, and a tendency toward temper embrittlement. Therefore, it is generally not recommended for carburizing or other heat treatments unless quenching and tempering are required.
**Common Applications:**
This steel is widely used in the production of high-strength welded components, tough parts requiring good impact resistance, sheet metal stampings, cold-drawn and cold-punched parts with thickness less than 16 mm. It is commonly found in large-section chains, sprockets, bolts, and other components used in mining equipment.
