In order to fully leverage national policies and implement the scientific concept of development, we must focus on transforming the economic growth model, enhance the independent innovation capability and core competitiveness of enterprises, and achieve high-quality and rapid economic development by 2013. We will consistently align our work with key priorities, complete assigned tasks, and further strengthen the role of the Association as a bridge and link between stakeholders. The 2013 work plan is outlined below: **1. Focus on Policies, Strengthen Research, and Promote the Implementation of the 12th Five-Year Plan** 1.1. Organize staff to improve political awareness, closely monitor national policies, and seek support for key industry projects through effective channels. This will help transform the economic growth model and enhance the global competitiveness of the sector. 1.2. Promote energy efficiency, environmental protection, and low-carbon features of superhard materials. Encourage enterprises to submit projects to local governments, supporting the development of seven strategic emerging industries and promoting healthy and sustainable industry growth. **2. Implement General Conference Guidelines and Work Around Key Priorities** 2.1. Use club meetings, conferences, and websites to promote the spirit of the General Conference and ensure its guidelines are implemented effectively. 2.2. Focus on the club’s 2013 work plan and strive to complete all tasks assigned by the General Conference successfully. **3. Enhance Club Activities and Boost Influence and Cohesion** The key activities in 2013 include the “Two Sessions” and “Two Books.” The “Two Sessions” refer to the 6th Zhengzhou International Superhard Materials Seminar and the Second China (Zhengzhou) International Abrasives Exhibition. These events aim to publish conference proceedings and an industry history book. 3.1. Hold branch director meetings in the first half of the year to review past performance and plan for 2013. 3.2. Improve statistical analysis of industry operations and trade data to support informed decision-making. 3.3. Organize the two sessions and publish two books, inviting international experts and participants to contribute. 3.4. Conduct vocational training and skill assessments to develop qualified professionals in the field. 3.5. Continuously adjust membership structure to maintain the club’s influence and effectiveness. 3.6. Enhance staff learning and service orientation to better support industry enterprises. **4. Promote Technological Innovation and Economic Growth** 4.1. Encourage enterprises to invest in R&D under the 12th Five-Year Plan, focusing on new products and applications. Despite progress, many high-end products remain dominated by developed countries. The 2013 plan emphasizes continued development of PCD, PCBN, and other advanced tools. 4.2. Continue product structure adjustments and shift from volume-based growth to quality-driven development. Increase the export ratio of high-grade products and boost overall industry efficiency. **5. Market Research, Exhibitions, and Brand Development** 5.1. Improve market research to understand demand and support domestic and international market expansion. 5.2. Organize the CIMT2013 exhibition, with over 22 exhibitors participating, setting a new record. 5.3. Host the Zhengzhou International Abrasives Exhibition, promoting the use of diamond and cubic boron nitride in machining. 5.4. Strengthen communication with foreign exhibitions and encourage participation in both domestic and international events. 5.5. Support brand creation efforts and promote well-known industry products. **6. Strengthen International Cooperation and Participation** 6.1. Participate in international conferences such as INTERTECH 2013 in the U.S., enhancing global collaboration and technology exchange. 6.2. Invite foreign delegations to visit China, promoting joint ventures and multinational cooperation. **7. Enhance Public Opinion and Communication** 7.1. Publish the magazine *Diamond and Abrasives Engineering*, merging with other publications to provide comprehensive industry insights. 7.2. Develop the *China Superhard Materials Network* into a top-tier professional site, improving English content and expanding services. **8. Improve Information and Statistical Services** 8.1. Collect and report accurate economic data, publishing the *China Abrasives Industry Yearbook* to reflect real industry conditions. 8.2. Provide technical and economic data for industry reference. 8.3. Offer consulting services to assist enterprises with practical challenges. This plan has been approved by the board of directors and will be implemented accordingly.
