Haier family water ecosystem: let wisdom control into people's livelihood

Texas Instruments (TI) announced on May 23 in Beijing that it will launch the ZigBee SoC chip CC2538, featuring an integrated ARM Cortex-M3 MCU, designed for applications such as smart meters, HVAC control, temperature regulation, display systems, sensor networks, and intelligent lighting gateways. Wu Jianhong, TI's MCU business development manager in China, highlighted that the CC2538 supports multiple ZigBee standards, including ZigBeePRO, ZigBeeSmartEnergy, ZigBeeHomeAutomation, and ZigBeeLightLink. He also mentioned that there is a growing demand for systems that can integrate various household functions—like bathing, heating, washing clothes, and drinking water—into a unified platform, making life more convenient and efficient. Recently, during a visit to the Haier exhibition at a recent fair, the reporter saw an example of such a system. It combined hot water supply, home heating, and water purification, ensuring safe drinking water through integrated equipment. This is known as the Haier Smart Home Water Ecosystem. Ms. Liu from Chengdu shared her positive experience after seeing the Haier system. “Having a system that can handle hot water and drinking water makes me feel much more at ease,” she said. According to the reporter’s observations, Chinese consumers often rely on cold water due to limitations in hot water supply and lack awareness about clean drinking water. In contrast, in Europe and the U.S., hot water usage reaches up to 90%, with greater attention to its health benefits. However, traditional water heaters struggle to meet all household needs, such as bathing, laundry, and dishwashing, while also lacking the ability to purify drinking water. Consumers end up paying high electricity bills just to maintain a constant supply of hot water. “There’s always a need for hot water, especially in summer. If you use electric heating, it’s too costly. I’m looking for a way to save money while still having enough hot water,” Ms. Liu explained. In response to this demand, Haier has developed a smart home water ecosystem that transforms how families access and use water. Unlike traditional water heaters, which rely solely on energy, Haier’s system uses both solar and heat pump heating, prioritizing solar energy for efficiency. Only when solar power isn’t sufficient does it switch to heat pump mode. “This system can provide hot water all year round, saving over 40% in energy costs compared to single-product solutions,” said a Haier representative. At the fair, the smart home water ecosystem showcased included hot water, heating, purified water, soft water, and recycled water. Users can customize their setup based on personal needs, avoiding unnecessary expenses from unused features. Beyond just providing hot water, the system offers intelligent control that enhances the user experience. It learns users’ preferences, such as water temperature and bathing time, and automatically adjusts to provide the right amount of hot water at the right time. For instance, it can start heating before work so that a warm bath is ready upon returning home, acting as an invisible "hot water assistant" in the home. As living standards improve, people are increasingly demanding smarter, more energy-efficient, and cleaner water solutions. Haier’s smart home water ecosystem is well-positioned to meet these expectations. As the world’s fourth consecutive champion in white goods, Haier is set to drive a new wave of innovation in the water heating industry.

LED Street Lights

LED Street Lights have become increasingly popular in recent years as an energy-efficient and cost-effective alternative to traditional street lighting fixtures. These modern lighting solutions are designed to provide superior illumination with decreased energy consumption and maintenance costs. LED Street Lamps are widely used in urban and rural areas, making streets and highways safer and more visible for drivers and pedestrians alike. Solar LED Street Lights are a type of LED Streetlights, which are also gaining popularity due to their solar-powered energy sources, making them eco-friendly and sustainable. Overall, LED Street Lights are an excellent example of technological progress and innovation that can benefit communities and the environment.
