Exploration of Refractory Production Process

In order to ignite and keep burning, the masonry should have a fairly high temperature (not less than 600°C to 700°C). Since the fuel component generates a certain amount of heat when it is burned in oxygen, the mixture of the fuel and the refractory material is melted and filled into the damaged masonry. The heat-supplying spraying method used in the heating material composition includes an oxidizer powder, a reducing agent, and a functional aggregate. The spraying method using the heating material is to make up for the defects of the refractory masonry. The exothermic material (heating material) can be sprayed by semi-dry or wet method. The heat mixture is not a water-dispersed suspension, and it is sprayed onto the heated masonry surface using an ordinary sprayer or manually. After the sprayed layer is heated to 750° C. and r 00° C., the heating mixture participates in a strong reaction, with a large amount of precipitation. The heat energy, the melt and the masonry are fused together to form a strong surface layer.

Discussions on the selection and implementation of the best repair methods for the carbonization chambers and industrial tests conducted at the Kryvç½—og coking plant have shown that it is difficult to determine which type of overhaul method is better. In addition, there is still a lack of a fairly objective assessment index on the life and maintenance quality of the complex surface. Not only the coke oven itself, but also the coke oven carbonization chamber conditions are not the same. Long-produced furnace masonry still retains the overlying surface layer that was previously overhauled. In addition, under the existing production conditions, maintenance is mainly performed after the coke is out, but at this time the preparation of the masonry surface has not yet fully met the quality requirements, and it is almost impossible to create completely comparable conditions for foreign refractory materials using different methods. In addition, the results often depend on the technical proficiency of the maintenance staff, production conditions, and other factors.
