Intelligent video surveillance will occupy the commanding heights of the market

He added that intelligent video surveillance has become a powerful tool for companies aiming to dominate the security market. Over 400 cities have already implemented the company’s products and technologies as part of their smart city initiatives.
Telecom operators are also entering the IoT-driven home security market. China Telecom launched its "Global Eye" service, which serves both industrial and residential needs, while also introducing the "3G Smart Butler" for smart home security. Similarly, China Mobile developed the "Livable Pass" standard, offering features such as mobile phone monitoring, door sensors, infrared detection, gas alarms, and video surveillance—all integrated into a single, user-friendly platform.
Wei Wei, Dean of the School of Electronics and Information Engineering at the University of Science and Technology, highlighted the growing importance of wireless surveillance solutions. Current 3G technology supports standard definition video output, with users able to choose between SD or HD based on their preferences. Image resolution ranges from QVGA to 1080p. As 4G technology becomes more widespread, it is expected to further enhance the performance of security devices, making them even more efficient and reliable.
