Main varieties and application range of powder coatings

Powder coatings come in several main types, including epoxy resin, polyester, acrylic, and polyurethane. Currently, powder coatings are widely used in the automotive industry for coating components such as engines, chassis, wheels, filters, control levers, mirrors, wipers, and horns. However, most of these coatings are black, with only a small portion being transparent. In many foreign countries, transparent powder coatings have already been applied to car body covers and vehicle parts. Automobiles require high-quality coatings that not only offer excellent physical and chemical properties but also provide a smooth, glossy, and mirror-like finish. Although powder coatings possess good durability and performance, their appearance still lags behind solvent-based coatings, which is why they are not commonly used for exterior car parts. In recent years, significant research has been conducted globally on the application of powder coatings in automotive painting, leading to major advancements in resin synthesis, powder production, and coating technologies. For example, BKG in the United States has introduced high-infrared heating technology to enhance the powder coating process. This technique preheats the metal substrate before applying the powder, allowing the coating to cure rapidly using the heat from the metal itself. With this method, an epoxy/polyester powder applied to a 1mm steel plate can be fully cured in just 9 seconds, compared to 18 minutes using conventional hot air or far-infrared systems. This results in a 120-fold increase in curing efficiency. The use of high-infrared heating significantly boosts production speed, reduces the length of drying tunnels, lowers investment costs, and most importantly, enhances the flatness and gloss of the coating surface. Despite these developments, the application of powder coatings in the automotive sector in China remains limited. There are still constraints regarding the variety, quality, and technological level of powder coatings. The current structure of powder coatings in China is not well-suited for automotive applications. Automotive coatings demand strong weather resistance, yet most products available in China are epoxy-polyester blends or pure epoxy powders, which are more suitable for indoor use. There is a lack of modified epoxy powders, polyurethane powders, UV-curable polyester powders, and acrylic powders, and these materials still face quality challenges. In contrast, in the U.S., over half of the total powder coating output is designed for outdoor use, highlighting a clear gap between China and developed Western countries in terms of product diversity. Additionally, there are still differences in the quality and scale of coating and baking equipment. The use of powder coatings in the automotive industry differs significantly from its application in the appliance industry, requiring higher precision and performance standards. Pressure Seal Globe Valve

Presure seal Globe Valve normally used in the high pressure main streaming pipeline or high pressure bypass water feeding pipeline etc. The main function is to cut off/cut on or regulating the medium controlled by electric actuator or handwheel. The sealing principle of pressrue seal seal valve is sealing surface tight off under pressure and they are widely applicated in petrochmical, thermal power plant.
