Hunan Province "four in place" preheat "safety month"
In order to enhance public awareness of safety production across society, the Hunan Provincial Safety Committee has taken comprehensive measures to promote and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's instructions on safety production. The goal is to strengthen the sense of responsibility and ensure safe and sustainable development. To kick off the "Safety Production Month" campaign, the committee has effectively implemented four key strategies.
First, leadership organization and planning have been thoroughly addressed. A high-level team led by the deputy secretary-general of the provincial government and director of the Provincial Safety Supervision Bureau, Deng Jia, has been established to oversee the event. Local governments, departments, and enterprises have also made detailed plans and arrangements tailored to their specific needs. On April 30, the Provincial Safety Committee issued an official notice outlining the activities for the month.
Second, effective promotion and mobilization efforts have been carried out. The organizing committees at all levels have leveraged various media platforms, including websites, television, radio, and newspapers, to spread the message. Safety agencies and relevant organizations have visited communities and companies to raise awareness and encourage participation. Companies were encouraged to integrate the theme into their corporate culture, organizing engaging events that attract public attention. Additionally, the Provincial Security Office launched a campaign promoting a safety culture, including a microfilm and animation competition titled "Treasure for Life, Concern for Safety," as well as participation in national contests on occupational disease prevention.
Third, guidance and supervision have been strengthened. Safety departments have combined ongoing special operations with regular inspections, self-assessments, and law enforcement activities. They have conducted in-depth guidance and supervision to ensure that safety protocols are followed properly.
Fourth, exchanges and evaluations have been emphasized. The Provincial Organizing Committee has tracked and promoted local activities, and will conduct assessments in early July to recognize outstanding contributions. Awards will be given for organizational excellence, innovative events, and impactful publicity. Successful practices from different regions will also be shared widely.
