Acceptance details for wooden doors and windows and aluminum windows

When inspecting wooden doors and windows, it's essential to pay close attention to the details. Here are some key points to consider:

1. The appearance should be aesthetically pleasing. The surface paint of the wooden doors and windows should be smooth, glossy, and free from defects such as peeling, bubbling, or wrinkling. There should be no signs of corrosion, dead knots, or other imperfections. The wood used for the door and window frame should match the color and grain of the sash, and the veneer should not have a significant color difference. It’s important that the species of wood is consistent throughout.

2. Doors and windows must not be warped or deformed. The door or window sash should fit perfectly into the frame without any gaps. If there are issues with alignment, it could be due to improper planing or an uneven frame. In such cases, re-plan the sash or adjust the frame accordingly. If the frame is not vertical, use shims to straighten it out.

3. Hinge placement is crucial. The hinges should be installed accurately and securely. If they are not aligned properly, it can cause the door or window to stick or not open smoothly. Adjust by loosening one screw at a time, realigning the door or window, and then tightening all screws once the fit is correct. Make sure the screws are long enough and properly driven in—avoid twisting or bending them. It’s best to drive them in gradually for a secure hold.

4. The door lock should function well. The lock should open and close smoothly, and the parts on the door and frame should align correctly. A poorly installed lock can make the door feel stiff or unresponsive. If needed, remove the strike plate, adjust the groove, and reposition it before reinstalling. Also, ensure the door opens in the correct direction as per the design.

5. The door and window cover should have a proper base material. When using blockboard or MDF for the window cover, it should be fixed onto the base frame first, then nailed in place. For the door cover, it should be framed with wood, planed, and then assembled and mounted on the wall. After that, apply the base board and veneer. Tap the sides—if you hear an empty sound, it means the base layer is missing and needs to be redone.

For aluminum alloy doors and windows, the following checks are also important:

1. The installed aluminum doors and windows should close tightly with even gaps. The deviation between the sash and frame or adjacent sashes should not exceed 2 mm, and the opening should be smooth and easy to use.

2. When sliding the windows, check if the track is level and smooth. Push the window gently to ensure it slides freely without resistance.

3. The vertical and horizontal frames of balcony aluminum windows must be firmly attached to the railing and top of the balcony. This is usually done using nails or rivets in concrete, with angle steel for reinforcement. Avoid fixing them directly to brick walls or using wooden wedges instead of a nail gun. Fill the gap between the upper track and the balcony railing with cement mortar to prevent water leakage into the room.

4. The wall thickness of the aluminum window profile should be at least 1.2 mm, and the door profile should be no less than 2 mm. The joint between the frame and the wall should be at least 1.5 mm thick to ensure structural integrity and durability.
