Commissioning skills for small feed pellet machines
When commissioning a small feed pellet machine, start by preparing a mixture of 10 kg of feed material or rice bran. Add 1-2 kg of vegetable oil to the mixture and create a small pile of approximately 3 kg. Then add an additional 0.5 kg of vegetable oil to this small batch and mix it thoroughly. This initial feed is used to begin the process.
Once ready, turn on the feed pellet machine and immediately adjust the two "adjustment screws" to ensure the pressure roller and die are properly aligned. The ideal gap between the die and the pressure roller should be around 0.1–0.3 mm. As the pellets are extruded, continue feeding the mixture into the machine. If the feed cannot be squeezed through, stop the machine and clear any blockage in the die hole using a vise to clamp the steel nails. Repeat this process 15–30 times to run-in the die, ensuring the hole becomes smooth and functional.
After completing the 30th oily feed, immediately proceed with processing the regular feed. Once done, make sure to leave some oily feed in the die hole to maintain lubrication. During the next session, you can add a small amount of oily feed to help with the process. After processing a few kilograms, you can gradually reduce the use of oily feed in future operations.
This method ensures proper preparation and maintenance of your small feed pellet machine, improving efficiency and prolonging its lifespan.
